Michelle Treacy Rules the Night

Michelle Treacy returned to Ottawa after a tour of New York where she sang at the legendary Bitter End. She performed at Zaphod Beeblebrox at 27 York Street in the Byward Market on the 28th of May, 2014. She she knocked us DEAD! And we loved it!

Delightful woman that I met on Friday, 16th May, 2014 in front of the Art House Gallery at 594 Markham Street in Toronto. She was walking her dog, James Bond, and joined curator Chakman Chow and me in conversation. Chakman and I fell in love with her.

Street Woman

Toronto 15 May, 2014. This was shot outside in the rain on Yonge Street at Summerhill. The woman asked for a cigarette. I don't smoke and I had no spare change, but I asked her to pose against a cement wall. This is the result. The camera was the Fujifilm X-Pro1 with the fantastically versatile 18-55mm Fuji zoom lens.
