Leave Graffiti to the Masters

Toronto, 25th October, 2010. Hours before Rob Ford became mayor.
Now I like good graffiti and my past posts are testimony to that
point. This just doesn't make it. Arboreal glory and, well, I don't know
what the hell to make of it.

Attention K Mart shoppers. We have a contest here. For the life
of me, I can't think of a caption for this picture. That's where YOU
come in. Send in your best caption. The prize is your name
announced as the winner and...SEVEN FREE POINTS!

Preraphaelite Woman

I lived in Toronto during the 1970s and 1980s at the height of the punk years. I always figured that the punks alluded more to the Victorian period than did the hippies who were more open about their Victorian symbolism. My friend alludes to that waif like aesthetic. If the Preraphaelites flourished today, my friend would be a sure fire star among them. Unfortunately, that would probably involve constant harassment and wooing by Dante Gabriel Rosetti.
