Kodachrome no longer exists as a viable camera film. But this was shot with Kodachrome in mind.
I photographed Anthonia Bejide using my Fujifilm X-Pro1, Fujinon Super EBC 35mm f1.4 lens,
 ring flash, circular polariser filter, underexposure of about 1/10th of a stop, a sunny day and a
 remarkable make up artist and model, Anthonia. This is as close to Kodachrome as I have ever
managed with a digital camera.

Anthonia, Pascale, Lillian Gish, Railways and Burnt Buildings

On Thursday, 30th July, 2015, I photographed my good friend 

Anthonia Bejide. Anthonia is a virtuoso make up artist, but she 

claims that she has never modeled before. Well, she is a natural 

at modeling as well. Last week we did a shoot with the ever 

enchanting model Pascale Boudreau, who looks sensational 

with or without make up. 

This is what Anthonia can do in no time...

Pascale was made up to look like a ghoul in a shoot done in an abandoned 

rooming house. Since Pascale's beauty is anachronistic (honestly, she is 

timeless), she cam across as a Mary Shelley herione by way of Lillian Gish.

The picture above was inspired by Viktor Sjostrom's 1928 film

The Wind, with Lillian Gish...

...and D.W. Griffith's 1912 film An Unseen Enemy, with Lillian (in 

the background, below) and sister Dorothy Gish (foreground).

Pascale bravely faced the elements of this burnt out edifice.

Anthonia and I wanted to shoot Pascale in Gatineau/Hull on the 30th of July,

but Pascale was off to southern France. So Anthonia became my model. She 

proved herself to be highly photogenic, jaw droppingly beautiful as she is in 

real life.
