Ziegfeld Girl
Yes, she IS a doll! Fifteen inches tall,
slightly taller than Barbie.
This is an HDR picture, a composite of seven pictures,
three underexposed, three overexposed,
one properly exposed.
This is a tribute to Alfred Cheney Johnston,
photographer of the Ziegfeld Follies, 1917 to 1932.
Love this picture.. and love Barbie (or Barbie like dolls).
ReplyDeleteWhile at different times in our history Barbie has been maligned, I had her back. This was my doll. I had no need for useless "baby dolls" that you might push in a carriage. I wanted my career girl. She had it all... and I appreciate you capturing the special quality of Barbie and her similar cousins.
