The Little Church That Made Me Cry

On a dirt road outside Ompah, Ontario, stands a small wooden Anglican church. It was commissioned in 1885, and decommissioned in 2015. For the last three years, this lovely little building has been left to rot, its lawn uncut, its door unlocked, its interior unbreathable. I photographed this building on the 16th of June, 2018. I later found that it was unowned and forgotten. Ompah is a very small town with no real population. This little church reflects the town's profile, forgotten. Looking at the church really broke my heart. I swear, if I had the cash, I'd buy it, air it out and give it a new life that it deserves.
